David W. Douglass, MS, CSCS

As a two-time graduate of San Diego State University, David received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Physical Education in 1996 and a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology in 1998. Upon completion of his degree, he was awarded the departmental honor, "Outstanding Graduate Student", and his thesis was published in a peer reviewed scientific journal. David is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a certified rehabilitative specialist with MEDX equipment at UCSD, and a certified phlebotomist with the Boston Reed Company. In addition, David stays current on popular and scientific health and fitness literature and theory through professional organizations (IDEA, NSCA) and seminars.
Since 1997, David has been a full-time personal trainer. Having over 8,000 hours of one-on-one personal training experience, David knows exactly how to design and implement a program for every individual.
David has been an active college instructor since 1998. He taught Health Education at Cuyamacca Community College, Exercise Physiology lab at San Diego State University, Health Risk Assessment and Exercise Testing at San Diego State University, and currently, Exercise Prescription for Special Populations at the University of California San Diego.
As a fluent Spanish speaker, David worked as a voluntary rehabilitative specialist in Mainland Mexico, and as a guest speaker for the Border Health Commission in Tijuana.
David has a passion for improving the quality of life of those individuals who choose a proactive approach to health. David is committed to giving everything that he has to help as many people as possible through his company, Mobile Health and Fitness.
